Stories of Yards

Almost every building in the Stockyards has a long history behind it. Some of these stories involve murders, criminals, and children.

The Stockyard Hotel once serviced the famous duo Bonnie and Clyde. They stayed in room 305. There is said to be paranormal activity happening there, thought to be the spirits of Bonnie & Clyde. Room 218 as well is said to have had some strange occurences going on in there.

Miss Molly's Bed and Breakfast has had its share of strange occurences. In the late 19th century is when this establishment turned away from being a "classy" hotel to the bordello it is know for. The structure still stands today on the second floor of the Star Cafe. Miss Molly's did not have some of the nicest character within its wall which turned out to be not so good for some of the girls working there. Its said that alot of the old workers and owners still walk around the halls, causing alot of activity. Some of the more well knows hauntings include guests seeing a girl around the age of 10.
One maid had decided to quit her job due to a "tipping" ghost. This woman claimed that when she would go to clean the rooms, there would be old coins that had not been there previously. The famous western store Maverick, is said to have a ghost who leaves roses upstairs. Not much else is know about this apparition. I hope to go to these places and see for myself is any of this is true, which I strongly hope is.
